The new site\u2019s <strong>4.2 MW of installed capacity<\/strong> adds to the 12 MW overall capacity of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.asja.energy\/en\/news-en\/a-video-to-tell-a-story-of-success-in-belo-horizonte\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Belo Horizonte<\/a>,\u00a0 Uberl\u00e2ndia and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.asja.energy\/news\/asja-continua-a-crescere-in-brasile-inaugurato-impianto-biogas\/\">Sabar\u00e0<\/a> plants. With the launch of the new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.asja.energy\/en\/news-en\/asja-is-building-a-new-biogas-plant-in-brazil\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jaboat\u00e3o dos Guararapes<\/a> plant (state of Pernambuco), expected by the end of next June, Asja will further strengthen its presence in the South American country.<\/p>\n<p>The Jo\u00e3o Pessoa plant <strong>will produce about 30,000 MWh of electricity each year<\/strong>, enough to meet the needs of almost 45,000 people, and will help preventing the emission of more than 95,000 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p>The new plant confirms <strong>the centrality of the Brazilian market in Asja&#8217;s development plans<\/strong>.
