By supporting the projects of the Poligrow Foundation, Asja helps people in Mapiripán, a small and marginalised village in Colombia, to build a better future for the community.
The Foundation focuses on many lines of action. Improving access to qualified education is a primary concern, since it functions as a driver of economic and social development. Asja contributes to the education of Andrea Lizeth Rivas, a promising student from Mapiripán, by funding a full scholarship to allow her to continue the studies in Agricultural sciences at the prestigious Earth University in Costa Rica.
Lizeth has a dream: once she finishes her university career, she will come back to Mapiripán to help her community to improve its quality of life. “Thanks to the scholarship funded by the Poligrow Foundation, I will have the chance of becoming a professional and coming back to my country to share the knowledge I am acquiring and to foster the development of local producers.”
